High School Clay Target League
The High School Clay Targe League is now into the Fall season. They are shooting Thursdays from 2:00-till dark and Sundays 9:00 AM to noon. The ranges will be closed at these times.
This Spring's 2024 High School clay season was the most successful season to date! We had good weather all season with maybe one day that was rainy. The season ran smoothly with lots of help from club members. There were quite a few kids who shot both skeet and trap making it tricky to get kids on both fields in the same day. But with all the help from members it ran quickly and efficiently. Thanks to all that helped!
All 3 schools had some nice team and individual accomplishments. But most importantly, all the kids improved throughout the season individually and had fun.
Midlakes had 24 Shooters on their trap team this season. There were several nice individual accomplishments this year. Brady Day was 14th in trap and 2nd skeet for NYS and Teddy Altman was 42nd in trap for NYS. Lucas Santy is a good up and coming trap shooter. He had his first 25 and 50 straight in trap this year! Travis Guard also had his first 25 straight in trap this year.
Pal-Mac had 15 shooters for their trap team this season with 4 shooting both trap and skeet. Joel Redmond had a great season following in his older brother Bryce’s footsteps. Joel shot his first 25 in skeet and followed it up the next round with another 25 for his first 50! This is the first 50 for anyone from Pal Mac in HS skeet!
